Our Mission
The mission of the FabriCare Foundation is to lead the growth and future of the dry cleaning industry and its professionals through public relations, research and education. FabriCare Foundation provides industry professionals with:
- Information about consumer opinions, behavior and understanding
of our industry
- Educational opportunities for leadership,
management and employee training
- Insights and solutions to current and future workforce and technology issues
Our President
Gary Dawson is a third generation drycleaner and 41-year industry veteran.
He is President of FabriCare Foundation, the owner and CEO of Belleair Bluffs
Cleaners in Belleair, Florida, as well as Chairman of the
Board of Directors for the International Fabricare Institute and
The International Dry Cleaning Trade Association. He
also serves as the CO-Executive Officer of the Florida
Drycleaners Coalition, Chairman of Florida's Compliance
Advisory Panel, and is a past member of EPA's National
Compliance Advisory Panel and past President of
Southeastern Fabricare Association.
2006-2007 Goals
Each year, the FabriCare Foundation President defines a new set of goals that will help raise the bar in regards to industry unity and professionalism. This year’s FabriCare Foundation goals are:
- Build on our successful marketing campaign to
promote the value of dry cleaning and help our
industry grow.
- Fund research for our industry that makes us better business people, better customer relation specialists and more skilled service providers.
- Develop a partnership with national retailers to
promote excellence in clothing care and customer
service.
- Raise the funds necessary to support these and future programs that will insure the future of our industry and its professionals.
